This course will give those students who have not studied Graphics an opportunity to begin, while helping those who have to refine their skills for the Leaving Certificate programme. Students will be required to produce scaled drawings of their own homes and then produce plans for a house of their own design. Depending on progress made during the term this may extend to computer-based design and to model making.
This course is linked to Construction Studiesand to Crafts where students
will work with the building process and interior design. Over the year
this will develop into a substantial project. This is also potential to
link with the gardening course. Assesment will be based on both individual
and group work with the final project being the main element.
