This course is an introduction to Leaving CertificateBiology and aims to cover 20% of the Leaving Cert Syllabus.Topics treated include cell structure and use of the microscope, food and food tests, introduction to basic microbiology and cell culturing techniques, evolution and ecology.Students are given learning or written work twice a week and this will be examined in a written exam at the end of the module.
In the last module students are expected to do two projects and also to answer a questionnaire based on a visit to the Natural History Museum.
