St. Josephs is a co-educational secondary school under the Trusteeship of the Sisters of Mercy. It has a student population of approximately 500. The school has a range of extra curricular activities such as soccer for both boys and girls, basketball, cricket and gaelic football. It has an excellent reputation in the North County of Dublin for the school musical which it stages most years. There is an annual prizegiving ceremony which is one of the highlights of the school calendar.
A Parent School Association has recently been formed and it has already published a very informative newsletter for parents. The school offers a wide range of subjects to Junior and Leaving cert. level - the sciences, business subjects, languages (French and German,) Art, Construction studies, Technical Drawing and Home Economics.
Students are encouraged to aim at the highest level of achievement of which they are capable - in an atmosphere of care and concern in which the student can grow to maturity.
