During this year, students have the pressure of exams removed and are given the opportunity to he involved in various aspects of life which would not be possible in the 5th year.
Work experience, for 2 periods of 2 weeks each, is an important aspect of Transition Year.
Students follow the normal subjects of English, Irish, Maths, French and other Leaving Certificate subjects, but taken from a different angle. Well researched and presented projects prepare students for more serious work and personal responsibility.
A wide variety of modules are taken during the year to give students a wider view of life and enable them to he better informed when making their career choice.
