Parents can contact the school directly when seeking advice on their son's or daughter's progress. There are Parent-Teacher meetings annually for each year group.
Also, parents have a voice in management through their representatives on the Board of Management. Two representatives are elected to the Board through a special meeting of the parent body.
The Association provides invaluable support to the
school through the year, facilitating talks, mock
interviews etc. It has also heen very successful in
raising funds for the ongoing development of the
school. In addition, the Parents' Association
sponsors the Student of the Year Award.
A student council is elected each year. Its aim is to
promote student participation in all aspects of
school-life. It has published a school magazine and
has been involved in the organisation of' the visits of
President Robinson, the Lord Mayor of Dublin and
the American Ambassador.
Career guidance takes on extra importance
when students enter Senior Cycle. The Counsellor
pays special attention to these students by providing:
A Past Pupils' Union has been formed to help
continue the friendships formed in school. This
union runs functions such as table quiz nights and
social evenings and sponsors our Junior Student of
the Year Award.
