WORK

Lessons start early in the morning, running until after five o'clock - with many interruptions for free time, games and the various snacks and meals(five in all) which punctuate the day. On average there are about twelve children in each class. Everyone studies all subjects with differing degrees of emphasis as they get older. Children with remedial problems receive additional help. After Headfort children go on to a wide variety of schools, either in Eire or abroad.

Free Time

In free time, perhaps three hours a day, we have a very wide range of activities. As well as the usual sport-related ones, there's a heated pool, ten acres of playing fields,10 Pentium PCs, endless (1000 acres+) land to explore and a good supply of other children to share interests and hobbies. There are organized games every afternoon.

Etc.

Naturally we remain healthy (regular medical checks and resident matrons), eat properly (much food is grown locally), our day to day concerns are addressed (by sympathetic staff),we work hard (various checks to see that we do) and parents receive as much feedback as they could wish (frequent reporting and close contact with the Head).

Term started on January 8th. The Headmaster (Lingard Goulding B.A., H.Dip. Ed ) may be reached on 046-40065 at any time or by post at:
