Headfort

Headfort is an independent (fee-paying) boarding and day Preparatory (primary) School, situated 40 miles north of Dublin in Kells,Co Meath. The school is housed in a large Georgian mansion surrounded by acres and acres of playing fields and woods and farmland. There are seventy children from Ireland and overseas to whom Headfort is home for eight months of the year. Children arrive aged 7 or over and generally stay till they're 13. At weekends, most boarders go home on Friday evenings but may stay in the school if they or their parents so wish.

 

What sort of things do we do ?

We study...English,French Maths,Science, Latin or Irish, History,Geography,Computing, Religion, Fine Arts and Music

 

We play...Rugby,cricket,hockey,soccer,tennis,rounders,basketball, squash,athletics, Gaelic games(sometimes). We have our own stables and riding ponies is very popular.

 

We relax by...Swimming,computing, making huts in the woods, drama, gardening, roller blading, practising music, table tennis, snooker,chess.
